The women on the phone at this same location, her name was Marqueeda, informed us it would take 2 weeks while Charlotte said it would only take 5 days. My fiancé began to ask why it would take 2 weeks instead of 5 days and before he could finish his sentence he was interrupted by Marqueeda saying "What don't you understand? It will take 2 weeks." My fiancé asked for her manager because she was raising her voice and being incredibly rude. She informed us that the manager was not there, so we asked for another associate, we were told the other associate was with a customer. So my fiancé asked for her name, at this point she HUNG UP. Called back, he asked her again for her name, she gave her name and he asked how she spelled it, at this point the associate Marqueeda said "yes sir, thank you sir, have a great day, goodbye". And HUNG UP again.
This review is not to down the company, but to highlight the way this particular store allows their employees to interact with customers.
So the associate made it seem like she was having a friendly conversation with a customer, I assume so her other associates would not hear what was really going on. Calling back an hour later we get to speak to the manager who informs us that Marqueeda can be abrupt and that this is not the first time she has been complained on, and that she will take care of her. Kay Jewelers Corprate telephone line has been made aware of the situation and has been extremely helpful.
When my fiancé picked out my engagement ring he was helped by Charlotte at the beginning of the week, according to him she did a wonderful job and was extremely helpful. We will always go to Charlotte for anything else we might need. Three days after purchasing, my fiancé and I called to see how long it would take to get my ring sized.
