Great park addition in the city! It offers events space, sporting area, walking, jogging, biking and hiking trails, boating, fishing, and picnicking. I'd love to see it developed even more.
Been having cookouts for my mom's school reunion here for years. It's a very nice outside place to use.
Lots of great trails for any activity, walking biking horseback. We love to walk the dogs for miles. Has paved and beaten path trails or make your own. Great soccer field that hosts annual rugby tourney not to mention a boat launch and picnic area.
This park, located on the spectacular Dan Daniels Riverwalk Trail, is a great spot for family fun. There's a large shelter with picnic tables, a grassy soccer field, a boat launch, a paved walking/biking trail is fantastic for anyone who isn't up to terrain with hills. There are numerous benches and picnic tables stationed along the river side of the field if you need to take a break or want a shady spot beside the river for a picnic. This is a great place to take a walk with kids in a stroller or someone restricted to a wheelchair because it's so level. It's also a good trail to allow children to develop bike skills. This level trail, that runs around the soccer field, connects to a slightly more challenging paved trail as well as very challenging, unpaved mountain biking/hiking trails. There are well maintained public restrooms and a bike washing station with various tools available for repairs. It's one of our favorite locations in Danville!
Some of the most well-maintained mountain biking trails in the area, well worth the hour-long drive for me. There are restrooms and a bike wash and plenty of parking there. It seems to be mostly single track trails that I saw, but there's also a paved path for less adventurous bikers.
